Regional Project Plan for LWIA 50, 60, & 61

Region 6 welcomes comments regarding the revised Regional Project Plan for Local Workforce Investment Areas 50, 60, and 61.  The plan is required by the Workforce Investment Act (WIA).  This notice initiates the 10-day comment period, which will conclude June 21, 2010.

A copy of the draft plan is available on the website at www.rapideswib.com and the Rapides Parish Office of Economic & Workforce Development at 5610-E Coliseum Blvd., Alexandria, LA 71303.

The plan is scheduled for final submittal to the Louisiana Workforce Commission by June 30, 2010.  Comments are encouraged, especially from representatives of businesses, labor organizations and community based organizations.
